Logging meals
Photo, voice, search, or manual entry — pick what's easiest.

Bragi gives you four ways to log. Use whichever is fastest for the moment.
Photo
Open the camera tab → snap an overhead shot. The AI identifies what's there, estimates portions and macros, and shows a confidence score. Under 60% confidence, we flag it and ask you to confirm.
Tips for best results:
- Overhead angle
- Good lighting (natural light is ideal)
- Plate alone in frame — no other dishes overlapping
Voice
Hold the mic button. Say "Big bowl of oats with banana and peanut butter." Whisper transcribes; Bragi splits it into ingredients and pulls nutrition from Edamam.
Search
If you know what you ate, type it. We search USDA + Edamam. Pick the closest match, tweak the serving size, save.
Manual
Sometimes the answer isn't in any database. Tap Add custom, type the name, optionally add kcal/protein/carbs/fat. Logged as ad-hoc.
Editing after the fact
Every log is editable for 24 hours, then locked for streak integrity. Need to edit older entries? Settings → Data → Edit historical logs.
